How to Make Citrus Cookies

DESCRIPTION

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Wilton® Food Crafting Supplies:
  • Roll-Out Cookie Dough
  • Circle Metal Cookie Cutter
  • Recipe Right 17-1/4" x 11-1/2" Cookie Sheet
  • 14-1/2" x 20" Cooling Grid
  • Royal Icing
  • Rose Icing Color
  • Lemon Yellow Icing Color*
  • Orange Icing Color
  • Leaf Green Icing Color*
  • 24-Count Disposable Decorating Bags
  • Round Decorating Tip 3 (4 needed)
  • *Combine Lemon Yellow icing color with Leaf Green icing color to get green shown. 


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Bake and cool 12 3" round cookies.
  2. Make Royal Icing. Tint 1/2 cup of icing each color, using combination above for green. Reserve remaining white icing.
  3. Prepare four decorating bags with tip 3; fill each with different color icing except white.
  4. Outline three cookies in each color, thin icing to a count of 10. Fill in cookies with thinned icing, matching outline.
  5. Allow cookies to dry overnight.
  6. Prepare another decorating bag with tip 3; fill with white icing to pipe sections and seeds. Pat smooth with cornstarch, allow to dry 30-45 minutes.
  7. Makes about 12 servings.
