This Gingerbread French Toast Bake is the perfect way to start or end your Christmas morning. Each bite is better than the next with the sweet custardy flavor and texture of a simple french toast combined with your favorite gingerbread spices, and a sweet cinnamon bread. This recipe is a true Christmas gift even Santa himself would want.

So, if you’re looking for a breakfast dish that screams Christmas, then look no further. No one will be able to resist this delicious and festive holiday recipe. It’s time to get started on this crowd-pleasing favorite!

We all love french toast for breakfast, but the same old plain french toast can get boring after a while. I love mixing things up and adding an extra special holiday twist to this classic breakfast dish.

Start by whisking the milk, eggs, syrup, molasses, and spices together, add the butter and mix until well incorporated. Next pour the egg mixture over the bread, then cover the dish with foil and refrigerate.

Once the mixture has had time to soak, bake until slices are firm and golden brown. Remove the dish from the oven and allow to cool before dusting with powdered sugar. Now you’re ready to serve! Just don’t forget the butter and maple syrup!

  •  1/2 teaspoon each: ground cinnamon*, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves
